Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse Review

Updated: Aug 30, 2019

In an alternate dimension where Peter Parker no longer bears the mantle of Spider-Man, a kid from Brooklyn named Miles Morales becomes the hero of this tale. This has been the most anticipated animated movie this year for me and it was worth the wait. With this being a Phil Lord & Chris Miller production, I knew this was going to be great based on that. But seeing a movie that felt like it was ripped straight out of a comic book with a soundtrack that match the tone of the film so well, with all the other incredible things in it, it was a masterpiece. The cast was the definition of outstanding! Shameik Moore as Miles Morales, Jake Johnson as Peter Parker, and Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy, all of them were superb! The animation in this movie was one of the key takeaways for me. All of the Spider-People from the different dimensions all had their different animation styles that made them all unique but they all blended together seamlessly. Also, every frame of the film has ink dots that make it look like it’s from a comic book along with thought and word bubbles. Small details like that, I love it! Spider-Man has always been one the greatest heroes to ever live and Into The Spider-Verse brings that fantasy alive that Spidey can be anyone. Even you. If you haven’t seen this, you have to! Bring the whole family, everyone while have a great time!

I’ll give Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse a 5/5.
