The Mule Review
Updated: Aug 30, 2019
The Mule Taking place in the early 2000’s, we follow Earl Stone. A 90 year old Korean War Veteran who has turned to the drug cartel as a means of making money as a drug mule. Seeing that this could possibly be Clint Eastwood’s last movie to star in and direct, I know he chooses he projects well. This certainly felt like a Clint Eastwood movie with its pace, aesthetic, and lack of score. He was also surrounded by an incredible cast such as Bradley Cooper, Laurence Fishburne, Micheal Peña, Dianne Wiest, and Andy Garcia. All giving a great performance. This movie certainly has a brutality to it taking in the fact that it’s centered around the drug cartel, but it does have heart warming and funny moments through out. Overall, this was one of those movies that I’m glad I watched, but probably won’t see again. Don’t get me wrong, it was good, but not very memorable.
I’ll give The Mule a 3/5.
