Merry Christmas
As the saying goes, it’s the most wonderful time of the year. It truly is! Spending time with family and reflecting on the birth of Jesus as the Savior of the world becoming flesh to take our sins that we may live in eternity with him.
During this holiday season, the Lord has been highlighting the word “JOY” to me. In reading the scripture, the songs I’ve been hearing, and even the coffee mug I grabbed on Christmas morning. I’ve been meditating on that word and I feel that I have a new understanding of what joy truly is.
During Christmas, we see Joy at the forefront of everything. When we think about the parents of Joesph and Mary, the were joyful of their son. When we sit together as families and open up presents, we see joy in their reactions. Joy is quite literally a gift. Jesus being born is the greatest gift of joy that we could ever celebrate.
Merry Christmas!
