Bumblebee Review
Updated: Aug 30, 2019
In a small beach town in 1987, a robot in disguise comes to Earth from the distant planet of Cybertron and becomes a protector to humanity. Ever since I saw the teaser to this, I was sold on it. Seeing Bumblebee as the classic Bug car and seeing all the Transformers in their classic Generation 1 looks, that’s all it took and I wasn’t let down. Director Travis Knight did a masterful job at breathing new life into such a beloved franchise and making it great again. The cast was incredible, all delivering great performances. Hailee Steinfeld, Jorge Lendeborg Jr, and John Cena were the key highlights of the film. Also, the VFX were great! All of it looked very fluid and never looked out right ridiculous compared to the previous Transformers movies. Bumblebee always looked great consistently and they did a wonderful job at making him look he had real emotions and sympathy. (The fight scenes were incredible as well) It took way to long to make a good Transformers movie and Bumblebee was just what we needed. Definitely a blast for the whole family to enjoy!
I’ll give Bumblebee a 4.5/5.
